Elizabeth has been in private practice in Salem, MA, since 2002, and in New York City since 1994. In addition, since 2005, she has worked as an addictions counselor at CAB Health and Recovery in Salem, MA. She has also been on the staffs of thoe Medical Psychology Center, Beverly, MA (2008 -- 2011), New England Geriatrics, headquartered in West Springfield, MA (2002 - 2005); the Riverside Church Pastoral Counseling Center, New York City (1995--2002); and the Blanton-Peale Counseling Center (1989 - 1995).
EDUCATION
Elizabeth received her training as a psychotherapist through an in-depth, four year residency in spiritually-oriented psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Blanton-Peale Institute, New York Clty. She received her MSW at the Wurzweiler School of Yeshiva University, New York City. She earned her B.A. from Smith College, and a M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) from Brown University.
Who's the Puppy? Ruffie, a 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is Elizabeth's canine cotherapist. He attends most sessions as a friendly, quiet, and confidential spirit. He is a recipient of the Canine Good Citizen's Award from the American Kennel Club, and would highly recommend such training to any dog.
